Plan a future gift

The 1997 Society

Mejorando vidas. Fortaleciendo la comunidad.

Jubilee Park & Community Center was born from the dreams of a few neighbors in Dallas who wanted something better for our neighborhood. Now, nearly 30 years later, what started as a tiny idea has grown into a wide array of life-changing services for an entire community.

With your support, together, we can leave a legacy of hope for all.

What is The 1997 Society?

The 1997 Society is Jubilee’s planned giving program that allows supporters and friends the opportunity to share their resources through committing a future gift to ensure their legacy continues in Southeast Dallas well beyond their lifetime.

Why Join The 1997 Society?

You’ve given your time, your resources, and your love. Through The 1997 Society, you can continue your legacy of hope through various types of gifts, empowering future generations to have the opportunity and resources to thrive.

Donate Today.

Appreciated Securities: Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or ETFs, is a powerful way to contribute to Jubilee Park and to receive a charitable tax deduction for the full fair market value of the asset while avoiding capital gains taxes.

IRA Qualified Distribution: If you are at least 701/2 years of age you can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA. The QCD is a direct transfer of funds from an IRA to a qualified charitable organization. For tax purposes, the QCD does not count as income to you and may be counted toward satisfying any required minimum distributions for the year.

*While these opportunities are excellent for current giving, they can also be included in bequest provisions for a planned gift.

Make a planned gift to The 1997 Society.

Give Through Your Will: A bequest (provision in your will or trust) allows you to leave a meaningful gift in the form of cash, stocks, bonds, Jewlery, art, mineral rights, or other personal items to Jubilee Park & Community Center, ensuring your legacy continues in Southeast Dallas after your lifetime. A devise allows you to do the same with regard to real estate.
For example: I give and bequeath our [mineral rights, specific dollar amount, primary residence] to Jubilee Park & Community Center.

Beneficiary Designation: You can support our mission by naming Jubilee Park & Community Center as a beneficiary of your financial accounts, IRAs, or life insurance policies.

Income Producing Gifts: Creating a Charitable Remainder Trust or Charitable Gift Annuity enables you or a loved one to continue to receive income from an asset for life while making a generous gift to Jubilee and also receiving a current charitable tax deduction.

Leave a Legacy of Hope

To my fellow Jubilee friends—Please know
that I have long felt that the people at
Jubilee and their children are my fourth
child, and I want the best for all of them.
I hope you will join me in placing in your
wills a sum that will sustain Jubilee and its
programs and efforts to keep Jubilee healthy
through the years to come, even in hard
times. It is a happy thought for me to think
that my fourth child will receive strength
even after I am gone.”

Former Jubilee Board Member and
Founder of the Jubilee Endowment Fund

Lydia and I love Jubilee Park. Everyone that
loves it should make sure that they leave
a Legacy gift of some sort through their
wills, 401(k), or other method so that we can
celebrate them now and also, when the time
comes, remember them and their contributions to Jubilee Park. In the future, we will take a moment to recognize all who have left a legacy gift at our annual Board of Directors and Council of Honor Dinner,
honoring the incredible foundation they
have helped to build and the legacy of good
they have made possible.”
